Puffy Clouds in Sabino Canyon Today

Wildlife was a little scarce this morning.  Can't think why as it was beautiful with white puffy clouds hugging the mountain tops.

Or just below

The phainopeplas were still out in force.

But the flowers were more prevalent.

The brittlebushes are charging into bloom

We saw our first creosote bush flowering.

This is a filigree and it's flower is probably about 1/8 of an inch in size.  You can't tell that from this telephoto shot, but the whole plant is itsy bitsy teeny weeny.

This is another tiny almost microscopic flower on a tiny plant with hairy fuzzy leaves. We couldn't find it in any of our books.   So let's call it a mini-mystery buttercup.

This one we can identify.  It's Fountain Grass

The flowers look like wheat.

All told the scenery was still the best part of today's walk.
