The brittlebushes are charging into bloom
We saw our first creosote bush flowering.
This is a filigree and it's flower is probably about 1/8 of an inch in size. You can't tell that from this telephoto shot, but the whole plant is itsy bitsy teeny weeny.
This is another tiny almost microscopic flower on a tiny plant with hairy fuzzy leaves. We couldn't find it in any of our books. So let's call it a mini-mystery buttercup.
This one we can identify. It's Fountain Grass
The flowers look like wheat.
All told the scenery was still the best part of today's walk.
